Blog 15: Readin' and Writin' 271 Words

When I was younger my mom and grandparents used to read to me all the time. I remember having the little five page books. They were little stories about courageous heroes or something about animals. They were the books with a lot of pictures and not much writing. I used to try to read along with my parents. I learned from them reading to me and they would point out the words that were hard and teach me how to say it. Whenever I was young they would read me bedtime stories and those made me fall asleep really fast. When I was little I liked reading with my parents because I thought it was fun when I was little. It was really easy for me to figure out how to read and when I read some of the words in the book they were proud of me. I used to sit in my bed and wait for someone to bring a book for us to read. I would sit on their lap or lay in bed as they read the story. They used to read the same stories over and over again so I remember some of the stories they read. After I started reading it was really easy learning how to write. I usually never missed a word on my spelling tests. Writing I learned at school. I didn’t write much at home. I used to write my letters right, but it took me a little longer how to write cursive because I had to remember how to write out the words. All in all I learned pretty fast.

Blog 14: Shape Shifting? 256 Words

If I could shape shift into an animal I would shape shift into an American bald eagle. I would want to be an eagle because I would like to soar around and dive bomb things. Also catching fish from lakes would be cool. Being an eagle would help because I could get to places faster by flying over traffic and over obstacles. Being an eagle would also help by me being able to get away from problems and be free. I could soar over places and explore the world. I like to explore. One time I was stuck in traffic and we were going to St. Louis and we were an hour away. I was tired of waiting so I jumped out of the car and took off into a wooded area and transformed into an American bald eagle. From there I ran and jumped and soared over all of the traffic and met my destination in less than half the time. That helped me out but I still had to wait over an hour for the rest of my family to show up. I wish they had this super power too. Another time being able to transform into an eagle helped was when I had an argument with my mom. She was just annoying the crap out of me. So instead of going to my room, I ran outside and took off. I soared for a while and calmed down. Then I flew back home and we were fine. Being an eagle would be awesome!
